What are the reasons for some athletes being stronger than others?
Because the mentally trained sports person has learnt to call-up and implement his strengths (e.g. calmness, self-composure, relaxation, self-confidence, concentration, movement optimization, overview, improved physical well-being, faster regeneration ability, mental strength, positive attitude, clarity, self-assurance…) in training and competition. If a sports person doesn’t achieve that, emotions of the fear (of failure), of not being concentrated and negative/limiting thoughts creep up in your subconsciousness.
Success in sports is decided based on the inner (mental) attitude and approach, the way of coping with sometimes very straining emotions, our physical conditions and the ability to relax and decide based on our techniques. Fitness and technique of competitors/professional athletes are on a similar level in top sports nowadays. In critical situations of two opponents of the same level, the mental strength is always decisive for the match. In future no real top athlete or team will be able to afford to leave this area unconsidered. Especially in professional sports, which meanwhile has become a million dollar business, stress-resistant, self-confident, concentrated and well-balanced athletes are in demand. Concerning the issues of technique, condition and tactics, the training possibilities are nearly exhausted. Nevertheless, in the training of mental strengths a lot of potential still lies idle.
Sport Mental Training isn’t only beneficial for competitive and professional athletes. I have been accompanying successful professional athletes, top trainers and Olympic champions as well as ambitious amateurs and recreational sportspeople for many years now.
But not alone top athletes, also board members/top executives and future-oriented companies from all segments of the industry meanwhile also use mental training on their ways to achieve high performance and for their personal success.
